This is my third year to teach Robotics at McNiel and I am so excited to have your child! This semester will be different from last year in the fact that I am incorporating new curriculum for my Robotics class. We will start with the understanding of computer programming. We will use Introduction to Programming that has fantastic step by step tutorials of what to expect when working with Education EV3 Core Sets. I have 35 Core Sets of EV3 to use in my classroom in a group setting. Once we become familiar with EV3 sets, how to turn on/off/update brick, understand how to use the sensors and programming blocks, will we begin with our robot projects. There are also self paced exercises that students will complete at their computer once they have finished watching the tutorial to check for understanding. Part of the Introduction to Programming includes a section where students will work together to create the base model of a robot.
